FREE All-Day/All-Ages Music Festival to feature fifteen bands
on five stages in three locations
GREENSBURG, AUGUST 1, 2024 – Westmoreland Cultural Trust, the region’s premier arts and cultural non-profit organization, in partnership with Green Beacon Gallery and Band Together Pittsburgh, is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated lineup for this year’s Greensburg Music Fest, promising music fans an unforgettable day and evening of music, culture, and celebration. The sixth annual 2024 Greensburg Music Fest is set to rock Greensburg, PA, on Saturday, August 24th, from 12 PM until 9 PM. All-ages admission is free and will include a total of fifteen bands playing on five different stages across three unique locations throughout the city. Food trucks and local vendors will also be on hand during the festival, including BBQ Buggy, Super Dawgs, Let’s Go Tacos, Honey Bubble Tea, and Arinda’s Soaps, to name a few.
Westmoreland Cultural Trust will kick things off on two outdoor stages at the Helman-Ghrist parking lot on North Main Street starting at 12 PM. A total of nine bands will share these two stages until 9 PM, with additional activities extending into Art in the Alley (Wilcox Way), featuring new works on display. WCT will also offer a paid VIP experience, giving attendees exclusive access to the newly named Palace Theatre Duffy and Summer Friedlander Courtyard and Megan’s Suite, featuring indoor restrooms, air conditioning, an outdoor lounge, and other VIP perks such as drink passes.
Starting at 2 PM and running until 5 PM, Music Fest event partner Band Together Pittsburgh will present The Nied’s Hotel Band plus special performances from Band Together Pittsburgh musicians in St. Clair Park at 135 N. Maple Ave. in Greensburg. Band Together Pittsburgh uses music as an instrument for change, providing innovative programming, experiences, and vocational opportunities to enhance the lives of those on the autism spectrum. Westmoreland Cultural Trust is pleased to partner with such an important community cause.
Volunteer-run DIY music venue and art space Green Beacon Gallery will round out Music Fest with an eclectic mix of musical acts running from 5:30 PM to 9 PM on two stages located in the Albright Parking lot behind the Gallery at 235 W. Pittsburgh St.
