The Broadway to the Palace Artist Retreat is a week-long immersive musical theatre intensive designed for artists ages sixteen through adult, offering training with current Broadway performers and a Broadway Music Director in acting, voice, dance, storytelling and professional readiness. Blending high-level technique with ensemble-based creative exploration, the curriculum supports artistic growth and personal development. The inaugural year welcomed nineteen artists ages 15 to 27, including an out-of-state participant, signaling early regional expansion. Participants trained intensively and performed alongside Broadway professionals on the Palace Theatre stage in a final showcase that reinforced the retreat as a signature educational experience. The program strengthens The Academy’s reputation for industry-informed training, deepens relationships with schools and families and connects Westmoreland County artists to the broader performing arts industry.
