For Immediate Release
Formerly known as Thank Goodness It’s Summer (TGIS), WCT’s revamped live concert and entertainment series now expands into two locations, offering fun themes, food trucks, and activities for the entire family!
GREENSBURG, PA – Thursday nights in Greensburg just got more exciting as Westmoreland Cultural Trust welcomes music enthusiasts to Rhythms of Summer (ROS), a refreshed concert series running from June 6 to August 1st. Expanding on its previous TGIS concert series, Rhythms of Summer will alternate on consecutive Thursday evenings between the Greensburg Garden & Civic Center and The Palace Theatre Courtyard. Each week, guests will enjoy exciting live events designed to promote various themes and genres—ranging from Country to Latin-inspired. Festivities kick off at 5:30 PM with food and drinks followed by live entertainment from 6 to 9 PM.
Rhythms of Summer guests will have the opportunity to select from eight themed events, each bringing a fresh vibe to the area. Attendees can indulge in themed activities such as line dancing, costume contests, and more, accompanied by food trucks, specialty brews, and a variety of unique dining and dessert options.
“When we envisioned Rhythms of Summer, we aimed to create an experience that went beyond the traditional outdoor concert, celebrating the diverse people and communities found throughout Westmoreland County,” noted Ari Burke, Event and Program Specialist at Westmoreland Cultural Trust. “This summer, we’re offering guests the chance to select where they want to go and what they want to see. Whether you prefer to relax in our Palace Theatre courtyard to some soulful sounds or set up a blanket on the lawn at Greensburg Garden and Civic Center for some country or blues music, Rhythms of Summer has something for everyone.”
One of the highlights of Rhythms of Summer will be WCT’s Honor our Heroes event, taking place at Greensburg Garden & Civic Center on Thursday, July 18. From first responders and health care professionals to teachers and local volunteers, this event will honor those who selflessly work on behalf of the community.
