Important Accessibility Notice:
The Palace Theatre does not offer any accessible seating upstairs in our balcony/loge area.
Patrons using wheelchairs, walkers, canes, or any mobility assistance devices are prohibited from sitting upstairs due to safety and ADA compliance regulations.
If you have purchased upstairs seating and require accessible accommodations, please see a House Manager or Usher immediately. We will relocate you to the Orchestra level, subject to availability.
If you are unable to navigate stairs independently without assistance, you may not occupy seating in the upper levels. This policy is for your safety and is strictly enforced.
The Palace Theatre is committed to creating a welcoming experience for all guests, and we appreciate your understanding as we work within the limitations of our historic venue and national ADA guidelines.
When ordering tickets, wheelchair seat locations (with no fixed seat) are available to patrons in wheelchairs who require this accommodation on the main floor only. Patrons with other mobility issues will be re-located to other accessible areas in the theatre with fixed seating.
Gold Circle and Orchestra Left Y seating features up to only one (1) companion seat per wheelchair accessible space, while Orchestra Left & Right A seating features up to two (2) companion seats per wheelchair accessible space. WCT reserves the right to investigate potential misuse of accessible seating and void such ticket orders.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR LOGE AND BALCONY LEVELS (INCLUDING OPERA BOXES): Although The Palace Theatre provides elevator access to the Loge and Balcony levels, wheelchair accessible (no fixed seat) seating (or any accessible seating for disabled patrons) is exclusively restricted to the Gold Circle and Orchestra levels (main floor). Assistive listening is available theatre wide.
Eight assistive listening devices (which can be used from any seat) are available to guests at no charge during every theatre performance. An integrated neck loop/lanyard with DSP loop driver, worn like a necklace, provides better audio for people with cochlear implants and telecoils and allows the sound to be transmitted directly from the lanyard to the hearing device. Universal stereo headphones are also available with each unit and can be beneficial to those with other types of hearing aids or those that simply require a higher degree of amplification. A dual 5.5 mm output jack allows the receiver to be shared between users if desired.
When on site, please request this device from the House Manager on duty; they will require your state issued identification or driver’s license, which will be returned in exchange for the device at the conclusion of the performance.
- The Box Office is open Monday through Friday, 9AM - 5PM with some holiday variations (724-836-8000). For patrons with hearing disabilities, call 711 or call 800-754-5984. If you require a specific accommodation, please contact the Box Office during normal business hours prior to any performance.
- Although The Palace Theatre does not have a dedicated venue parking lot with disabled/accessible parking spaces (click here for free, city-wide parking options), the front of the theatre facing Otterman Street is a designated “drop off” location. Please contact the Box Office if you have any questions.
