Greensburg Garden & Civic Center

MULTI-PURPOSE FACILITY

Greensburg Garden & Civic Center is a multi-use facility that hosts a wide variety of events including cocktail parties, conferences, fundraising galas, reunions, weddings, showers, birthday parties, meetings, theatrical productions and concerts. Exhibits featuring the work of area photographers and artists often grace the first floor of the building. Groups from 2 to 200 can utilize our multi-purpose rooms, and 320 people may comfortably attend events in the Auditorium. Arrangements for food service, meeting room setups, and receptions can be made to accommodate your needs in a room that will fit both the size of your group and your budget. The beautiful lawn of the Greensburg Garden & Civic Center may be rented in conjunction with the Laurel and Iris Rooms to accommodate larger events or those with an outdoor theme.

Table Set Ups

LAUREL ROOM

The Laurel Room, located on our first floor, measures 23 feet wide by 44 feet long. It features a beautiful wall of 12-foot-high windows along its west side, overlooking the lawn and providing ample natural light through light-filtering shades. Guests have direct access to the lanai and lawn areas, enhancing the indoor-outdoor flow. The room includes two chandeliers, adding a touch of elegance to any event, along with a rolling bar and counters for added convenience. Additionally, the Laurel Room has direct access to our Catering Kitchen. With capacity for up to 80 seated guests or 100 for a cocktail-style event, the Laurel Room is both versatile and accommodating. Adjacent to the Iris Room, the Laurel Room can be connected by opening a room divider, allowing you to rent both spaces for a combined area of 50 feet by 42 feet.

IRIS ROOM

The Iris Room, located on our first floor, measures 27 feet wide by 42 feet long and offers direct access to the lanai and lawn areas. It accommodates up to 80 seated guests or 100 for a cocktail-style event, providing a flexible and inviting setting. The Iris Room features a rolling bar and countertops for added convenience. It also connects to the adjacent Laurel Room through a room divider, allowing you to rent both spaces together for a combined area of 50 feet by 42 feet, ideal for larger events.

AUDITORIUM

The first-floor auditorium is ideally suited for lectures, classes and theatre or concert performances on its intimate proscenium stage. Its 320 seats are arranged on a slight slope to provide optimum sight lines. Technical capabilities include a lighting control console, sound mixing board, front of house lighting, fresnels on stage, and three overhead rows of 3-circuit strip lights in red, blue and white. Private dressing rooms and restrooms are located off each side of the stage, plus a make-up room off stage right. An electrically powered screen is hung mid-center stage for PowerPoint presentations, DVDs, or other applications. The center section seats feature attached side-mounted flip-up tablet arms that can easily slide into position for note taking during meetings, lectures or classes. Wheelchair accessible seating is available toward both the front and rear of the auditorium.

PENTHOUSE

Our newly renovated Penthouse and rooftop is one of the best-kept secrets in the area and must be seen to be believed. With breathtaking views of the Laurel Highlands region’s mountain ridges, the Penthouse offers an unforgettable backdrop for any gathering. It accommodates up to 150 seated guests, features private bathrooms, and includes a stunning rooftop that provides additional outdoor space. Sophisticated and unique, this one-of-a-kind venue will add an exclusive touch to your next event or meeting.
