The Academy at Westmoreland Cultural Trust is the organization’s newly launched education department, created to provide transformative, inclusive, and high-quality arts experiences across disciplines. With a focus on training, collaboration, and community, The Academy supports students, educators, and emerging artists through workshops, intensives, artist retreats, and performance-based programs.
Rooted in the belief that the arts can empower individuals and strengthen communities, The Academy aims to bridge professional-level instruction with accessible, meaningful learning opportunities in the region—starting with its inaugural program, Broadway to the Palace.

THE OVERVIEW
All sessions will be held at The Palace Theatre in Greensburg, PA—the largest professional performing arts venue in Westmoreland County. This fully equipped, working theatre regularly hosts national tours, concerts, and regional productions. Retreat participants rehearse and perform in the same space as countless professional artists, becoming part of the Palace’s ongoing legacy of performers.
