ABOUT BROADWAY TO THE PALACE
The Broadway to the Palace Artist Retreat, taking place August 3–8, 2026 at the historic Palace Theatre in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, is an immersive, week long pre professional training experience for artists pursuing professional careers in the performing arts as well as professional artists seeking industry informed continuing education.
Participants train in close collaboration with current Broadway professionals and a Broadway music director, engaging in Broadway level instruction in acting, voice, movement, and musical theatre performance within an environment that reflects professional expectations in the performing arts. The 2026 retreat places expanded emphasis on individual and small group coaching, professional education, and integrated wellness practices that support long term artistic growth. Artists actively connect, collaborate, and create through a shared rehearsal and devising process that culminates in a final showcase performance on the Palace Theatre stage.
This experience is not a camp or convention, but a focused, high standard artistic retreat designed to mirror the pace, discipline, and collaborative nature of the professional performing arts world. The retreat is open to artists ages 16 and up, ensuring the educational content is developmentally appropriate for all participants, and is well suited for students preparing for post secondary training, early career performers, and working artists seeking continued growth. In 2026, the retreat will expand its cohort to allow for a maximum of 30 artists to participate, preserving the intimate, high quality nature of this exclusive experience.
The experience includes:
- Broadway level training in acting, voice, movement, and musical theatre performance
- Expanded individual and small group coaching with personalized feedback
- Professional education sessions covering audition preparation, career pathways, industry expectations, and sustainable artistry
- Professional headshots, performance photography, and high quality performance footage suitable for portfolios and prescreens
The total cost of tuition is $550 per artist and includes daily lunch. A $100 deposit is required at the time of registration, with the remaining $450 payable through your Academy Portal at any time prior to August 1, 2026. Upon registration, participants receive additional information regarding The Rising Artist Scholarship Fund through their confirmation email. Scholarships are awarded based on artistic merit and or financial need, and artists or families are encouraged to explore the application process if interested.
This is a commuter based program with limited enrollment to ensure meaningful access to guest artists. Broadway guest artists will be announced soon.
