Contemporary American composer Jessie Montgomery’s vibrant Strum opens the program, followed by flutist Anthony Trionfo (“breezily virtuosic” – The New York Times) in Lukas Foss’s colorful Renaissance Concerto. The concert concludes with Tchaikovsky’s powerful Symphony No. 5, conducted by Daniel Meyer.
