Founded in 1951, Greensburg Civic Theatre is one of only a few long-established, volunteer-based, community theatre organizations in Westmoreland County.  The non-profit organization was founded by a small group of people who wanted to provide a forum for local actors and theatre craftsmen, including costumers, set builders, and lighting and sound technicians.

The Westmoreland Garden Council was established in 1960 and continues today with an office, extensive horticulture library, workroom, storage area, garden house, garden and arboretum.  WGC has a number of activities its members participate in throughout the year including May Mart, bus trips, workshops, garden speakers, garden tour, Christmas showcase home and others.  Members enjoy monthly short programs on varied horticulture topics at their monthly membership meetings.

Under the artistic direction of Daniel Meyer, the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra presents four classical concerts, one holiday pops and the Nutcracker at The Palace Theatre in downtown Greensburg. The WSO’s Academy of Music provides educational programs and private classes for all ages.
